Sales Account Manager — Territory Sales
Position: Sales Account Manager — Territory Sales
The Opportunity
Iron World Manufacturing is a growing manufacturer of ornamental iron, aluminum, vinyl, and composite fencing systems; and we’re expanding. We’re adding territory sales professionals to help us grow market share with contractors, dealers, and distributors across the region.
This is a hunter-style outside sales role. You own your territory, you build relationships, and you earn accordingly. Our reps typically manage $4M–$6M in annual revenue with a compensation structure designed to reward that performance. Top performers earn $130,000+.
What You’ll Do:
- Prospect and open new dealer, contractor, and distributor accounts within your protected territory
- Manage and grow a book of existing accounts through regular in-person visits and relationship building
- Present quotes, solutions, and product recommendations to construction professionals
- Maintain a disciplined call schedule, CRM records, and sales pipeline
- Represent Iron World at trade shows, jobsite meetings, and customer events
- Work directly with VP of Sales and leadership to execute territory growth strategy

Logistics Manager Position

Key Responsibilities
• Manage daily logistics operations across Iron World’s fleet of trucks (local and regional).
• Implement and optimize delivery alert systems (SMS, email, app-based) to keep customers informed in real time.
• Leverage telematics (e.g., Samsara GPS) and routing software to proactively communicate ETAs and delivery status.
• Coordinate with sales, customer service, and drivers to improve delivery reliability and customer satisfaction.
• Monitor fleet leasing, maintenance, performance, fuel usage, and on-time delivery metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement projects in logistics automation, customer notification systems, and last-mile efficiency.
Qualifications

Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and forklifts.

- Conduct welding and fabrication as needed for machine repairs.
- Assist in the maintenance and optimization of the powder coating line.

Position Summary
The Materials Manager at Iron World Manufacturing is responsible for controlling, executing, and reporting all materials and inventory activities supporting aluminum, steel, and vinyl fencing production. This role is accountable for inventory accuracy, location integrity, and material flow visibility, ensuring the Supply Chain Manager (SCM) has clear, timely, and actionable inventory data to support production planning, purchasing, and growth initiatives. This position serves as the owner of inventory integrity and location control across raw materials, WIP, yard stock, and finished goods within Iron World’s ERP environment. Core Responsibilities Inventory Control, Accuracy & Locations (Primary Focus)
- Own and maintain inventory accuracy across all Iron World facilities
- Design, implement, and maintain warehouse and yard locations, both:
- Physically (layout, labeling, flow)
- Systemically (ERP location structure, rules, controls)
- Ensure all material movements are properly transacted to correct locations
- Lead and enforce cycle count programs (ABC classification, variance thresholds)
- Investigate discrepancies and drive root-cause corrective actions
- Partner with Production, Warehouse, and Purchasing teams to eliminate inventory errors
- Support annual physical inventories and audit requirements
Inventory Reporting to SCM
- Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly inventory control reports to the SCM, including:
- Inventory valuation by category (Raw, WIP, Finished Goods)
- Inventory accuracy by warehouse and yard location
- Inventory turns and days on hand
- Excess and obsolete (E&O) inventory
- Material shortages and production constraints
- Make vs. finished goods ratios
- Highlight risks, trends, and corrective actions—not just raw data
- Support executive- and ownership-level reporting with accurate inventory insights
Materials Execution & Production Support
- Execute material flow in alignment with production schedules
- Coordinate closely with Purchasing and Production to ensure:
- Timely material availability
- Accurate staging and issuing of materials
- Support new product introductions, engineering changes, and BOM accuracy
- Proactively flag material risks impacting aluminum panel, steel, and gate operations
- Min/Max levels, safety stock, and planning parameters remain under SCM ownership initially, with the opportunity to assume additional responsibility over time
ERP Ownership (xTuple / Future Systems)
- Act as materials and inventory system owner within xTuple ERP
- Maintain accurate:
- Item-location assignments
- Inventory attributes
- Location rules and controls
- Drive transaction discipline (receipts, transfers, issues, adjustments)
- Support ERP audits, upgrades, and future ERP migration initiatives
- Train operations staff on correct inventory transactions and location usage
Continuous Improvement & Growth Path
- Reduce excess inventory, rework, and material handling waste
- Standardize inventory- and location-related SOPs across Iron World facilities
- Support lean manufacturing and scalability initiatives
- Future growth opportunity: expand role to include shop-floor material buying and executional purchasing, once systems and controls are stabilized
- Partner with SCM on evolving inventory strategy aligned with sales mix and demand patterns
Qualifications Required
- 5+ years experience in materials management or inventory control (manufacturing preferred)
- Strong experience with inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and reporting
- ERP experience required (xTuple preferred; NetSuite or similar acceptable)
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, analysis, reporting)
- Strong cross-functional communication skills
Preferred
- Manufacturing experience in aluminum, steel, or building products
- Experience supporting yard-managed inventory
- Multi-site operations exposure
- Lean / Continuous Improvement experience

Iron World Manufacturing is hiring a reliable and safety-focused CDL-A Driver for daily routes based out of our Laurel, MD distribution center. Join a growing team committed to delivering top-quality fencing products across the Mid-Atlantic region.
What You’ll Do:
- Drive a CDL-A truck on local and regional routes, returning home daily
- Deliver fencing materials to commercial customers and distribution sites
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to DOT standards
- Maintain clean logs and accurate delivery documentation
- Assist with basic unloading when needed (forklift or pallet jack)
